Never say never because limits, like fears, are often just an illusion.

There is always a 50/50% chance of winning or loosing. And very often, both counterparts are equally good. But what differentiates the one from the other is the control over their minds. When your mind fails you this is where mental coaching comes into play.

Mental Coaching is already an integrated part with various sports internationally and has proven to be essential in the successful development of a professional athlete.

Brain studies now reveal that thoughts produce the same mental instructions as actions. Mental imagery impacts many cognitive processes in the brain: motor control, attention, perception, planning, and memory. So the brain is getting trained for actual performance through mental coaching. It’s been found that mental practices can enhance motivation, increase confidence and self-efficacy, improve motor performance, prime your brain for success, and increase states of flow – all relevant to achieving the best version of you.

Moreover, the dynamic between a single athlete and the coach or the team members as well as the parents play a significant role. In most cases, mental coaching needs to be addressed also in this regard.
